THE JEWISH QUESTION
A Herzlian Frenzy
THE JEWISH QUESTION is a one-man show set in 1895 Paris. The play follows Theodor Herzl during a frenzy of
inspiration while he wrestles with monumental ideas such as: antisemitism, Jewish indigenousness to the land
of Israel, familial loss, personal success, and international politics.
The notes he composed during this three week
period are what ultimately led to the creation of his book “Der Jundenstat” also known as “The Jewish State.”
